Cup Print BRCGS Standard Enhanced to AA

Cup Print are proud to announce that their certification for the BRCGS Global Standard for Packaging Material Issue 6 has attained an AA grade.

  • Standard delivers extra confidence for Cup Print customers and consumers in product Quality Management, High Hygiene and Food Safety Standards
  • Higher AA Grade achieved within new updated Issue 6 Standards, enhanced from previous Grade A.
  • Top-Down, holistic Food Safety Culture recognised across the organisation

The Cup Print Quality Program team used experience from previous BRCGS Audits and adopted wider changes throughout the year to November 2020 in line with the new Issue 6 Standard.

The BRCGS Global Standard for Packaging Materials Issue 6 replaced issue 5 at the beginning of 2020. The latest issue emphasis is on Root Cause Analysis, improvements by Senior Management on Food Safety Culture amongst other changes in clauses throughout the Standard.

The systems that have been implemented and put into practice have enabled the Cup Print Product Safety and Quality Program to become sustainable and to develop further the Food Safety Culture in place Cup Print.

BRCGS programs give consumers and customers assurances on product safety and security that robust procedures, systems and training are in pace across the organisation.

Additionally, the latest Standard’s Cultural aspects delivered significant cohesion across departments with impressive levels of buy-in throughout the company rather than on operational procedures alone.

In addition to food-safe inks, coatings and raw materials and a dedication to excellence in Supply Chain Management, Quality Management and High Hygiene standards, Cup Print is also deeply committed to providing customers with access to a choice of sustainable products with the highest levels of quality.

The Cup Print range includes sustainable options, such as compostable paper cups, as well the first and only recyclable paper cup that was designed for and certified specifically to be processed by regular paper processing plants. Additionally Cup Print hold PEFC Certification to ensure that any raw materials not from recyclable sources are from sustainable sources.
